    2. Hi, Linda Good to hear from you. My husband is Gordon Besser. His dad was Robert Lee Besser born at Keystone, OK. His dad was Robert Fredrick Besser born in Tulsey Town, Indian Territory. So that would make James Timothy Besser, M.D. my husband's great-grandfather too. (He was married to Mahala Ball). So now I'm trying to figure out where your line comes in. I only have information on my husbands grandpa and I don't know of any siblings that he had. My husband's dad passed away in 1999 but his aunt is still living and we email back and forth, I don't know if she knows much information or not she was the youngest. Would love to know more information from you. Where do you live - we are in Oklahoma - didn't get far from the original roots. I know there is a William T. Besser born in 1880 but I'm not sure where he comes in to play. He is the great-grandfather of Tom Frassi in California - but I'm not sure how the relationship goes. Also, there is a Mary Daisy Besser born in 1887. Maybe they are sibilings of Robert Fredrick Besser my husbands grandfather. The years are right. Is William T. Besser your line? This gets confusing I know. Hope to hear from you soon. Cheryl

There is no doubt that he is listed on several trees. Many of the ones I looked at though only had 1 or 2 of his children listed. He had 9 children in all. The 2 children that are commonly listed are Susan and Tabitha. I pesronally was missing Susan in my files, along with 1 other that I have not come across. The other 7 children in my files are: James b. 1830, Tabitha Louisa b. 1834 , Julia Helen b. 1836 , Charles Thomas b. 1838 ( my gr gr gr grandfather) , Elizabeth b. 1841, Anna b. 1844 and Ella. John Slater Besser was married 4 times all together, but only had children with Julia Hampton.(this is even stated in The Handbook of Texas) I have a lot of verified information I don't mind sharing, if anyone is interested..please email me!!
