I also got a reply from the Berks records office and discovered some basic info in that Lucy actually lived until 1920 after taking up residence in 1884. She was conditionally discharged in 1903 but readmitted in 1907. I can probably get a copy of her admission register and I might also be able to make a request for pre 100 year release of information because I'm a direct relative. So within 12 hours of making the initial enquiry, I have heaps of information and can now search for the 19011 & 1911 census info and also her 1920 death record.
