I've checked the Oxfordshire Marriage Index, IGI and BVRI and I can't see anyone that looks possible. Wolvercote is right on the border with Berkshire, so I wondered if anyone has come across him. Hi Rosemary I've just checked the society's incomplete North Berkshire Marriage Index 1538-1851, and whilst there are marriages for the surnames POLLY, POLLEY, POLLIN, and POLIN, none of them are in the vicinity or timeframe that interests you.
