I've had a quick look on your behalf, and in 1881 the SMITH family were living at Maidenhead (registration district at that time would have been Cookham), parents James and Ann (he was a wheelwright) with children James 13, Ernest 10, Alvert 6 and Nelly 2. All the family were born in Maidenhead.
