It would seem this Probate was granted by Letters of Administration which indicates that Hannah died Intestate, that is without making a Will. As the amount seemed fairly small this action, after 9 years, could have been taken to establish Charles' legal ownership of something his late wife had owned, which had passed to him as next of kin. A copy of the Grant of Administration can be obtained in the same way as a Will and the cost is the same at £5.00.This may give more detail than the Calender entry, but it may not. Dave. Is there anyway to find out why the proving of the will was delayed by almost 10 years? I have yet to get a copy of the actual will and probate. regards MOIRA ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to BERKSHIRE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
