    1. [BRK] Oxfordshire census CDs - new release - 1851
    2. Colleagues Following the successful release in recent years of various Oxfordshire census CD sets, I'm please to report that 1851 has now joined them on the Oxfordshire FHS CD sales page. In common with its predecessors, this new three CD set contains a complete set of census enumerators' books, which have been scanned at high resolution and are presented in the usual PDF format for ease of use. Each set also includes the society's index to that census and several other useful aids, including street indexes, place indexes and maps. The scans and indexes cover the whole of the modern county of Oxfordshire, and hence include the districts of the former North Berkshire. They are very easy to use, and are an excellent way of researching and illustrating one's own family history. Further details about all of our census CD sets appear on our CD sales page at :- _http://www.ofhs.org.uk/CDsales.html_ (http://www.ofhs.org.uk/CDsales.html) Please look at the frequently asked questions and sample pages - the latter ably demonstrate the quality of the digital reproduction. These are accessed via the sales page. The CD set can be acquired by :- 1. using the secure server to buy online via the sales page above. 2. placing an order by post as detailed on the CD sales page. 3. visiting OFHS at the Holford Centre, our research facility (a try before you buy service is available here). 4. visiting an OFHS meeting at the Exeter Hall. Any queries, I'll do my best to help. Best wishes. Paul Gaskell Publicity Officer Oxfordshire Family History Society Web : _www.ofhs.org.uk_ (http://www.ofhs.org.uk)
