    3. Further to this, I found this reference of a BRO holding "Church Hill House, Bracknell, based in the former Easthampstead Workhouse (D/H8). The records include the workhouse admission register, 1929-1933." which may be the right date range Robert Monk -------- Original Message -------- Subject: Re: [BRK] Church Hill House Date: Sat, 18 Dec 2010 11:32:44 +0000 From: Robert E Monk <robertmonk@onetel.com> To: berkshire@rootsweb.com Margaret, if you intend to visit the Berks Record Office, you should first search their holdings. It seems best to do this through the A2A webite: http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/a2a/advanced-search.aspx?tab=1 and select Repository = Berks Record Office Looking for Easthampstead workhouse, I found this holding at the BRO: "Register of deaths in the workhouse G/E4/2 1866-1914" which is too early for you, but they may have other data. The same data is available here: http://www.eurekapartnership.com/USERIMAGES/EASTHAMPSTEADUNION.JPG Robert Monk On 17/12/2010 19:46, Margaret Turner wrote: > Thank you Robert I have got to get down there and with all the info you and > moria have given me it seems l have it in the bag l will look forward to the > 'hunt' for more info.
