    2. >From Evening Post ( 1709 ) ( London, England ), May 10, 1726 - May 12, 1726; Issue 2621. LONDON, May 12. His Grace Charles BEAUCLAIR, Duke of St. Albans, Earl of Burford, Baron of Headington, and Captain of the Band of Gentlemen Pensioners, Lord Lieutenant and Custos Rotulorum of the County of Berks, and Knight of the Most Noble Order of the Garter, died lately at Bath; He was the only Natural Son of King Charles the Second by Mrs. Eleanor GWYN ; and in 1694 was married to the Lady Diana VERE , eldest Daughter and Coheir to Aubrey de VERE, the 20th and last Earl of Oxford of that Name, by whom he had Issue seven Sons: His Grace is succeeded in his Honour and Estate by his eldest Son Charles Earl of Burford, Member of Parliament for the Borough of New Windsor in the County of Berks. ADDITIONAL REPORTS. Farley's Exeter Journal ( Exeter, England ), Friday, May 20, 1726; Issue 156 has the same report, with additional information, that his successor & Eldest Son Charles Earl of Burford, " lies dangerously ill of the Small Pox. " Also British Journal (1722 ) ( London, England ), Saturday, May 14, 1726; Issue CXX11 gives the date of death of His Grace Charles BEAUCLAIR as "last Monday ".

I am studying this man's grandson Topham Beauclerk (1739-1780), who lived partly at Windsor until the mid-1760s in the house he inherited, via his father Lord Sidney Beauclerk (1703-1744), from Richard Topham (d.1730).
