    1. [BRK] Drapers centered on Abingdon.
    2. Hi List members, My current research includes several families in the Drapery trade. I would like some assistance in understanding the dymamics/structure of the trade so I have a reasonable idea of my research area when seeking family members. This is what I have found so far : The main center of activity is Abingdon. [John Creemer CLARKE and related businesses ]. Did CLARKE's have remote distribution points or warehouses ? My ancestors and related families have members in the trade living in several communities. These include East Ilsly, Hatfield, Cheshunt. Were there others ? If so where ? How far did John Creemer CLARKE's fabric empire spread ? This data should help me trace missing Twigs :) ( There are several relatives who married then vanished. ) Looking forward to your input. Cheers Jonathan in Toronto, Canada
