I'm trying to trace the RALPH family from Uffington & wondered if anyone can help I have ISAAC RALPH born 1789 & baptised 29/8/1790 in Uffington aged 1 he married Mary Waving 3/10/1808 in Ashbury & I have three sons Richard/William & George born 1810 to 1815 all baptised Uffington,I can't find anything then until another marriage for an ISAAC RALPH & Sussanah Puzey 16/11/1818 in Uffington I'm trying to confirm if Mary Waving died between 1815 & 1818 & Isaac remarried or are there TWO Isaac Ralph's from Uffington. Roy The Uffington transcript on the Oxfordshire FHS CD (OXF-FAR01) has the following entry: 1818 Jan 15 RAFFE Mary, 28 (in different handwriting it says RALPH) I suspect that answers your enquiry. There is also a baptism in 1817: 1817 Feb 16 RALPH Ann d Mary Anne, soldier's wife, Uffington And this burial: 1817 May 14 RALPH Ann 5 mths It makes me wonder if Mary died of complications from childbirth. If it could be the same family, then it gives you the husband's occupation.
