Hello Garry Your post regarding NZ theatre caught my eye. I am researching the family of my great-uncle, William John SAUNDERS (b. 1891 in Dublin) who travelled the world as a stage artist in the 1920s and 1930s. His stage name was PADDY DREW. I wonder if you know of any specific times performed in NZ or if there are any reviews of his performances. There are some videos of his performances online on the BBC website. His brother, Alfred William SAUNDERS (DFC) was an ex-RAF pilot who was killed in air crash at Te Awamutu in May 1930. I have newspaper reports of that incident. As this is off topic ... although he does have Berkshire* connections.... perhaps you could contact me offline if you have any information. *One of his antecedents, Edward Skeate White was mayor of Reading in 1777.
