Thankyou Bob for looking, could the year have been 1734, it is definitely there in St. Helens. I do have the entry but I just cannot get any further than that. I have followed the ABDY line meticulously so I thought that perhaps I would have better luck with the HAWKE people, Mary being the only one I have to go by LOL... If I am on the right track I have John's death as 15.4.1788, St. Agatha, Brightwell, Berkshire. They are both shown as "of Steventon". Mary was possibly buried 20th May 1778 St. Michaels and All Angels, Steventon, Berkshire. As Mary and John's banns were given out at Harwell, I am assuming that Anne ABDEY b. 1734, Harwell was their first daughter. They had three other children born in Steventon. For some reason I have put Culham in brackets. On checking my notes John and Mary's marriage was definitely in the year of 1734 sorry about that, I should have checked first. In my programme if one puts in the year in the early months it sometimes comes out as say 34/35. I do not know how to alter that. Thanks for your trouble.
