    2. Colin Liddell
    3. Good morning Diane, Thank you for answering my post. My Liddells came from Alva and Alloa in Stirlingshire and as far as I know, none were in Berkshire. My Liddell branch came out to Australia in the early 1820s and stayed. The COX line, of which my wife is a descendant, came out to New Zealand in 1872. The family that came out were Jesse COX (son of James) and his wife Eliza BROMLEY and two children HarryWalter Bliss and Emily Minnie Ruth. A third child Annie Florence Jocelyn was born on board ship on the way out. Annie was named after the ship they were travelling on, "The Lady Jocelyn" There were no Williams that I know of in the family of James who was born c1811/13. Who knows what I may find when I find his actual birth and parents. The James birth you have is a tad early for mine but maybe a cousin. Odd that you have Liddell and Cox families connected back in the 1700s and I, a Liddell, married a Cox in the 1970s. I will keep your information to hand just in case something comes up later down the track. Again my thanks. Colin in a warm Brisbane. ----- Original Message ----- From: Diane Godbout To: berkshire@rootsweb.com Sent: Friday, February 26, 2010 2:08 AM Subject: Re: [BRK] James Cox Death in Windsor Union Workhouse Hi Colin While I don't believe I have picked up all the threads of your e-mails I do note the spelling of you last name. I have been researching the name Little (Liddell) and Cox names in Berkshire as these two families are connected over the years by marriage. I do have a William Cox born bef March 23 1770 who married Mary before 1802. They have three children that I know of James born bef July 1803, Susannah born bef Aug 17 1806, and William born bef Feb 25 1810. I hope this info is of some value to you.
