Hi British Army records are now available online from the National Archives at very little cost... about 2 pounds. I requested my Irish 2xgreat-grandfather's Army records about 2 years ago and received them (five A3 photocopies) by post to Australia all for the sum above. You need to know the regiment but there are various ways of finding out. I did not know my relative's regiment initially only that he served in Canada. If you know where he served and the period involved then you can narrow it down considerably. Regards, Elissa Kester
