Hi Mike, There's a very useful website devoted to Cumnor. I've already found "Strange" mentioned in the "Families" section. The website is at: www.bodley.ox.ac.uk/external/cumnor This parish & this website is actually used by Oxford University for their local History students. I did an assignment its' inhabitants earlier this year!
