    3. Hi Has anyone transcribed, or gave access to, Newbury marriages prior to 1837? I am very interested in the surname STRATTON. Incidentally, have the PRs for Newbury been released to FamilySearch to enable same to be included in their "new" site? 3. Garry, Berkshire FHS have just published their first edition of the Berkshire Marriages on CD. This has 1300 marriages which took place in St Nicolas Church, Newbury from 1799-1838. On this CD they have concentrated mainly on the years before civil registration, pre-1837, which makes it an invaluable tool for those researching Berkshire Ancestors. As with the Berkshire Burial CD, now in the 9th Edition, anyone who purchases the Berkshire Marriage CD will be able to update it when the 2nd Edition is published for £5 plus p&p. They hope to produce an update each year until all the marriages in pre 1974 Berkshire are included. Berkshire Marriages First Edition CD is available from: Mail Order, Berks FHS, Yeomanry House, 131 Castle Hill, Reading, Berkshire, RG1 7TJ Orders can be placed online: >From the ‘Shop’ link on the BerksFHS web site http://www.berksfhs.org.uk/cms/ Hi Has anyone transcribed, or gave access to, Newbury marriages prior to 1837?
