Meerut Div. 4.11.15 to 139th Bde. 46th Div. 16.11.15 to 142nd Bde. 47th Div. 9.2.16 to 167th Bde. 56th Div., forming in Hallencourt area. 31.1.18 to 173rd Bde. 58th Div. and absorbed 2/3rd Bn. becoming 3RD BN. 11.11.18 173rd Bde. 58th Div. Belgium; near Peruwelz, S.E. of Tournai. Presumably he died somewhere in the Hallencourt area. Wendy - where did you find the index number please? I looked in both Ancestry and FMP and could only find the actual entry for Henry, rather than an index. Is there a browse facility that I haven't found or did you look at the original records in TNA? like you I looked at FMP but missed the one you found - bit of a maze really. go to the 'deaths' records page select British Overseas 1761 - 1994 then select GRO War Deaths Army Other Ranks 1914 -1920 and search on name As far as I can determine these records are held at Southport but I have no idea what personal information they hold - you would expect at least age at death.
