Please could anyone help me with a lookup of the Berkshire 1851 census,for my ggg grandfather and his wife and family. William Jones born 8 Mar, 1810 Ashbury Berks. parents Stephen Jones and Elizabeth [nee Johnson] Jane Wernham born 1817 bapt. 1822 Hampstead Marshall parents James Wernham and Sarah. Jane married William Jones 11 Feb, 1839 Hampstead Marshall Child born 1841 Sarah Agnes Jones 3 months before 1841 census. 1841 census Hampstead Marshall [[Jones is misread as Tones ]in this census William Jones 25 years Jane 20 years Agness 3 months. I cannot find them in Berks. in 1851 census and the next place they turn up is Worsbrough Dale in the West Rididng Yorkshire in the 1861 census MINUS HIS WIFE JANE but his child Agnes Jone is now 20 and has a baby age 3 months [William states he is a widower ]. sorry Barrie no luck; also the William and Agnes you have in 1861 are the wrong family as all were born Worsborough not Berkshire.
