He was the only male in his immediate family with several sisters. One sister name was Virginia. Both are deceased now. My dad always talked about living on a reservation in North Carolina. His birth family centered in Mt. Holly, NC. I have since learned that our family is connected to the Bennetts that lived in the community of Bennett College.
