Aquilla is mentioned on a page dedicated to Jacob, here: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~bennett1/Musings and Speculations.htm I would appreciate confirming the connection between Jacob and Aquilla, as well as finding out any information regarding from where in Pennsylvania these Bennetts originated...and their origins beyond that. It's interesting to note that all the Bennetts that I've met who are originally descendant from Jacob identify themselves as Irish. There's no proof of this anywhere, and the folks they married into down through the generations were a majority of English or German descent. Might this be a clue where to look? I don't know. In what part of Pennsylvania was your Jacob Bennett? I am trying to identify the parents of George Washington Bennett, b. abt 1804, children James Monroe, George Washington, Jr., Maxwell C., Louisa, Josephus and Jessee b. in Sewickley Co, PA., moved to Cincinnati, OH prior to 1840, was widowed in 1850 census. Some of the family also moved to IN.
