My great great grandfather Sebastian Bol and his wife Mary Enger came to Ky in the early mid 1800's. Germany was Prussia then, and I hear he came with a brother as well. The Bol family assumed the Bowles name due to angst against the Prussians according to research. Bowles was an English name already in the area around Louisville, Ky. Do you know anything about any of this???? Thanks, Chase.
