He is buried at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church near Normantown in Gilmer County WV. The marker says he died 9/25/1880 aged 89y 11m 20d. So far, I have not connected him with my family, but I believe all the Bennetts buried there are related. The church is built on land donated by Capt. William Bennett, also a relative, and was once called the Bennett Church.

Does the church still exist?
