He married Amelia Ann Johns in 1850. Family story says Amelia died about 1864 in childbirth. Rest of family immigrated to USA about 1868. Listed in the 1870 PA, Schuylkill, Mahanoy Twp census (no wife listed; children: Sarah, Thomas, Ann & James). Thomas, Ann & James came to Colorado. Can't find anything on Sarah.
