This the little bit I have on my Bennett Family from England, maybe something will appear familiar to you. Joseph Bennett was born 1767 in London, England. He married Lady of Title 1803. She died 1810 in when Joseph, Jr. was 5 years old. Joseph Bennett, Jr. (Joseph1) was born May 10, 1805 in London, England, and died January 30, 1894 in Adrian, Lenawee County, Michigan. He married Elizabeth Collins 1832 in Headley Parish, Hampshire Co., England, daughter of Stephen Collins and Jemima Etherington. She was born November 06, 1807 in Headley, Hampshire Co., England, and died July 13, 1882 in Adrian, Michigan. Notes for Joseph Bennett, Jr.: After marriage at Headley Parish, they came to America landed at NY then to Detroit. British army Veterans and families were offered Crown Land Grants in Canada as Col. Talbot settlers and Joseph took the north half of Lot 294 south of Talbot Road West, Twp. Sandwich, about 12 miles from Detroit. They had to clear land and build a house in the first year and later receive Crown Land Patents. This lot was at the cross roads of Talbot and Malden, than used by the army, so Joseph later named it Maidstone Cross after his native Maidstone England and the village still carries the name. this information taken from ST. Hi Ann! So sorry I am unable to link up to your BENNETTs. Your connections are obviously in the south of England. Unless you find a connection with the places, (all in MID ENGLAND), which I mentioned in my enquiry I am unable to assist. At least we have a common denominator....... i.e 'ENGLAND'.
