The William Bennett in Beat 11, dwelling 18/18 is shown as born in Georgia. It shows that his parents were born in South Carolina. I am attaching a portion of the census showing William Bennett with his wife, Sarah and children; Posey, Sela, William, Amos and Susan. I hope it works. I've been working for some time trying to figure out who Jones Bennett's father was. It's quite a mystery. My line is through Jones' son, John Romaldus Bennett. However, I've been working on the lineage of Jones' other son, William K. Bennett, in hopes of finding descendants who may have a family Bible or some information on Jones' parents. I think Jones Amos Bennett could very well be the grandson of my Jones Bennett. Jones Bennett was in Troup County in 1850, Heard County in 1860; Troup County in 1870; and then moved to Randolph County, Georgia by 1880. Thank you so much for answering. I hope to hear from you soon. Beth
