Surnames: Bennett Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/BRD.2ACEB/3971.3 Message Board Post: Don't know if there's any connection, but I believe my great-grandfather Edmund Bennett (born in Cork circa 1801) had an older brother Michael (and their father was Michael, too) -- I know nothing else about this brother, but he could have been the right age to be the father to your Jane Bennett. The Bennetts were Catholic, and I believe their farm was in the general area of Newmarket in northwest Cork.
