I'm dead ended on a John Bennett whose oldest known child was born Apr 05, 1682 in North Farnham Parish, Richmond County, VA. That is near Maryland on the western side of the Chesapeake Bay. His grandson John Bennett received a land grant in what is now Pittsylvania County, VA. Descendents still live on that land in the often modified original dwelling. Other descendents scattered across the USA. Groups of descendents are known to be in Crawford County, IL and Knox County, IN and Gibson County, IN. All from early 1800's migrations. Not to mention NC, GA and TX. I wonder if your John or your John's son could be the one I'm deadended on?
