He was the son of Jacob Bennett. John Bennett married a Rebecca Smith; she died in Aug. 1869. They had a lot of children. John soon remarried to a Minervia Bowyer in Dec. 1869. They had 5 children, the last being Gaiter (b. 1882), my great-grandfather. John died sometime after 1882. Minervia remarries, I think, to a John M. Hill in 1898. She shows up in the 1900 & 1910 census records as a widow. I would like to know where and when John Bennett and Minvervia Bowyer/Bennett/Hill died.
