Bennett, 34, of Fort Worth will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Greely CME Church in Mt. Enterprise with the Rev. Clyde Wade, pastor, and the Rev. Arthur Starling officiating. Interment will be in the Greely Cemetery. Mr. Bennett died Friday in All Saints Hospital in Fort Worth. Born Oct 6, 1940 in Rusk County, he was the son of Alex and Pauline Madkins Bennett. He was a 1969 graduate of the Concord High School in Mt. Enterprise and a veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the Moss Temple Church of the Living God. Surviving are a daughter, Tamesia Bennett of Fort Worth; seven sisters, Miss Merline Bennett and Mrs. Nannie Mary Adams of Mt. Enterprise, Mrs. Ethyrlene Ferguson, and Mrs. Lottie D. Harper of Fort Worth, Mrs. Albert C. Terry of Dallas, and Mrs. Florence Starling and Mrs. Cloteal Kidd of Nacogdoches; three brothers, Alexander and Albert Lee Bennett of Fort Worth and Cloures J. Bennett of Lockney; eight uncles and two aunts. O. Salder Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements. Published in The Daily Sentinel in Nacogdoches, Texas on Tuesday, October 8, 1974.
