Adrian Bennett STARKE-Adrian Edwin Bennett, 81, of Starke died Thursday, Feb. 13, 2003, at Shands at the University of Florida. Born in Jacksonville, Mr. Bennett lived in Penney Farms and Green Cove Springs before moving to Starke in 1985. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a teacher at Delgado College in New Orleans. He was a member of the Starke VFW Post #56 and the FRA for 30 years. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Bennett is survived by: his wife Beatrice "Bobbi" Bennett of Starke; twin daughters, Penny Baird of Brownsville, Texas and Peggy Andress of Ypsilanti, Mich.; a step-daughter Gina Bonefas of Houston; five sisters, Reba North, Clara Grimsley and Lois Walters, all of Jacksonville, Iris Cheshire of Atlanta and Carolyn Johnson of Arizona and three grandchildren. Funeral services for Mr. Bennett were Feb. 20, 2003 in the Chapel of Archie Tanner Funeral Home of Starke with the Rev. Roman Alvarez officiating with interment at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice.
