Eliza's brother, John William, was my grandmother's father. He married Mary Jones and they had Maggie Bell, Annie Viola,(my grandmother), Ida Alene and John Samuel, who died as an infant. Eliza and John William's parents were James Caldwell Bennett and Julia Ann Eaves. I have traced her back to 1611 to Jon Eaves who came over from England. However, I have no info on James Caldwell. I know he married Julia Ann, April 15,1853 in Opelousas, La. He came frome South Carolina and his father was from Virginia. Let me know what you have on them. I will share all that I have with you.
