She also insists that we have American Indian blood from that line. I can't figure out why Sallie would say she was born in PA and not NC. My great grandfather James D Patterson was mustered from the Union Calvary in Charleston, NC and family stories have it that was when he met Sallie. I wish I could nail this one. I am really considering hiring a genealogist. But it could get very costly. Thanks for the reply. Dian
I guess it gets confuseing for lots of us as I too have a Grandmother named Sarah Sally Bennett, she married Reuben Bennett in Georgia, they setteled in La where my mom was born also.
