Hello Susann.I've just visited your site and really enjoyed seeing the picture of William.I am curious about any Tennessee or Arkansas Bennett because my brick wall is also a Civil War veteran of the 31st Tenn.Reg.He is Montgomery Carrick Bennett ,born 1838 in Tn.and married to Margaret Campbell.He was my husband's great-grandfather and among his children were a Robert and a Walter. Do you know if your William had any brothers? It's a long shot,but who knows.
