Polly Bennett married November 3, 1769 in Rochester Massachusetts, to Barnabas MENDELL, They had one son Joseph Bennett Mendell, born July,1, 1799 in Rochester MA.. The parent of Polly are unknown, But thought to be from The Bennett's of Middleboro MA? We don't know what happened between Polly Bennett Mendell and Barnabas Mendell , the following notice was in The New Bedford Columbian, 11 March,1803 contains the following advertisement: "Whereas Polly, the wife of me, the Subscriber, has eloped from my bed & board, these are to caution all persons from trusting her, ect., Barnabas Mendel, Rochester, Mar. 9, 1803." Barnabas took their young son, Joseph Bennett Mendell, to Bedford PA. He left Joseph to Grow up with the Solomon Sparks family in Bedford PA.
