Mae, Further searching of Isle of Wight ,Va. http://www.co.isle-of-wight.va.us/ this page has a place to click on called County Historical, if you open that page there is a nother page that has history of Isle of Wight. If you read thru that ,it has something about Alice Bennetts land.(and other interesting stuff.) It may offer you a lead on where it exactly is. George Hardy bought land ajoining hers and built a grist mill on it ,which still operates today. They are calling it Lawnes Creek and it also gives a description of the lay of the land to where it borders Surry Co. Hope this helps .
