I am desperately trying to find out if my ancestor, Isaac Bennett, was related to your Elias Bennett. His birth place is uncertain, but in the censuses of Bedford and Somerset, Counties PA, he was approximately 60 yrs old when he died around 1808. His children and widow left w. Pennsylvania and went to York County, Ontario. One, Nicholas Bennett, married Diana Sprague, descendant of the Spragues of Hingham Massachusetts in Scituate Colony of the 1640's. It seems as though the Bennetts, Spragues, Willoughbys, Drapers all travelled around New England, w. New York, PA, and Ontario together. Would be thrilled if you had any information.
