I know this is your message doris but this was the easiest way to communicate with the both of you. My english ancestry, with what I have discovered so far may have started in Liverpool as my gggggggrandfather (1750) and ggggggrandfather (1791) where both born in Liverpool. These are according to the ships log. 7-grandfather John married a Hester Barnfield of Minchinhampton where they where married. Their son Joseph Married a Sarah Smith of Nottinghamshire and also married in Minchinhampton. I have been unable to find my English roots and for the past 18 months have not had any luck with the internet. So I am hoping that there could be some info from this source.
