My mother was born Irene Bennett 20th Feb 1947 at 26 Wolverton Avenue, Kingston, Surrey. She was adopted shortly after and had her name changed. After my mother passed away I found her adoption certificate which enabled me to order her original birth certificate. This shows her mother (Violet) as a lift attendant of Larcom Street, Walworth, London. It also has her mothers name as the informant V.Bennett of Richmond Park Av, Kingston, Surrey.
