They would be descendants of Charles Bennett b. 1767 and Martha Tackabury b. 1759 from Wicklow/Wexford County Ireland, arrived between 1820-1824 in Quebec City possibly with the Talbot migration , or followers of, and moved on to the Eastern Townships. Their children were all born in Ireland and came with them. Alot of their descendants left the area and went to settle in the New England States. Family names that are connected are Amadon - Annesley- Gill - Cross- Wood or Wood - Nugent - McNally
