Hi Mary Davis. You are absolutely correct. My Bennetts are from SE Georgia,down by Savannah on the Ogeechee River, Emanuel/Jenkins county. Do you have an Aaron,John,Benjamin,Romie,Noah,or Georgia Ann Bennett,from the early 1800's in your line? Mary Davis reported that she was working on a William H. Bennett, but didn't mention geographic area. My Wm. H. was born in Henderson, IL, married in Kansas (for the second time), then raised two children in that state. I have a good deal of info on him for those who are interested.
