There were Bennetts that came to New England - went to Virginia - Tennessee and the south that were offspring of the 3-4 original English Families of Bennetts. I have New England, Tennessee and a trace of Virginia Bennetts (I think related) in my lines. Immigration around 1650s and migration from my direct lines in the late 1800s, but evidence that relations may have existed in Va and TN before then...it's just untangling the cousins.
