There is a Lizzie Bennett buried in Denton Cemetery in Cleveland County that died before 1900. On the tombstone it says wife of James Bennett. There is also two very small children buried there. Copy & paste this site and click on to Denton Cemetery. Born around 1847 in Arkansas according to the census. I am needing to find out who his wife was. He was listed on the 1900 census with his children but no wife. Apparently she died before 1900. I thought this Lizzie Bennett might be my great grandmother but by her dying that early I don't know of any way to find out for sure. Hope this is the ones you are looking for. Jim Bennett had sisters, Margaret Elizabeth (Bess), Nancy Dora, Lucinda and Cynthia E. These sisters married William L. Morrow, Nathaniel Myers, Peter Myers and Norton Smith respectively. Several of these sisters lived in the Lexington (Cleveland Co)area near Jim and his wife Lizzie Bennett. I would like to find pictures of these families. Can anyone help? One of my Bennetts (Nathan) died in Greene, Chenango Co., NY. He also had 11 children that I know of. However, I am really interested in finding out if any of you have ever come across a family that has named two daughters the same when the first was still alive? This Nathan had a daughter Polly born in 1787 and died in 1864. Then in 1801 he had another daughter named Polly Anne born in 1801. It appears he had only one wife named - you guessed it - Polly. I believe Nathans children were Lovicy, William, Polly, Elizabeth, Clarissa, H.C., Sally, Polly Anne, Nathan, Ransom and David. My line is through Nathan. Any help on this family or any ideas as to why there were to Polly's would be great. Karen

Violet is my mothers biological mother. After my mother passed away in June I found her adoption papers. These showed that she was born to Violet Eileen Florence Bennett (a lift attendant living in Larcom Street, Walworth, South London)and was named Irene Bennett on 20/02/1947. I now have a copy of my mothers birth certificate and it shows that my mother was born at 26 Wolverton Avenue, Kingston, Surrey. The birth cert shows no father but gives details of Violets mother, "V Bennett" living at Richmond Park Road, Kingston, Surrey. Any help or pointers will be greatly appreciated.
