Some have posted MD but I believe it is VA. He married Nancy Bond of MD. I think they may have first lived near Nancy's parents and then obtained land in Silver Creek, Ohio. This would have been an area set aside as the Virginia Reservation land to full fill bounty awards for Military service. If this Samuel turns out to be my Samuel of Accomack, VA he was awarded land related to his father's military service. Documents were processed about 1833 as to this inheritance. Her father was George Bennett, born approx. 1868 and died in Shoreditch in 1909. Her mother, Daisy Gardner/Bennett/Witney/Raven (owch!). Was born in 1871 in St Katherine's Cree and died in 1957 as Daisy Raven. The Bennett children inclide John, Tommy, Charles, Alice, May, Vi and Eliza or Lilley. Daisy had a daughter called Sarah/Sally by Frederick Witney sometime between 1913 and 1918. If anyone knows anything about this family, please get in touch!
