Family history tells me early Bennett in my lineage was Samuel Bennett born 1684 in Rhode Island. He married Anna ___.A cooper by trade,General Sergeant in Militia, and Deputy for Rhode Island.I understand I can qualify to join under the SAR under Nathan Bennett who was the father of Thomas Bennett. Also Nathan's father Samuel Bennett(Samuel born in 1707 and died in Connecticut on May 3,1779) also qualifies me.Samuel's wife was Hannah Wade.I will consider joining under the Bennetts if can be readily done.
