Parents, Thomas Jefferson and Sarah (RANDOLPH) BENNETT. Born, Adair, Ill., Feb. 6, 1880. Married, Carrie M. HOYLE, Dec. 15, 1906. Children: Eugene H., Gordon R., Lucille M. Educated, Public schools of Adair, Ill. Occupation: Farmer, Wasco Area. He was engaged in farming in McDonough County, Ill., from 1896 to 1906. He came to Kern County in 1907 and has been engaged in general farming in the Wasco area since then. He pioneered in the water development in 1907 and in potato development in 1908 and then in 1915 and he was also one of the early cotton growers in that section. He owned one of the first dairies in the Wasco area and engaged in the dairy business from 1910 to 1927, operating Bennett's Dairy. He has been a member of the Wasco Union High School District Board of Trustees since 1932 and has been Clerk of the Board since 1938. Harrison Bennett-b 10/1859 in West Virginia d 10/1913 in Aid, Ohio Harrison's father is Squire Bennett b 7/1838 d. 3/1912 mother is Caroline Smith b 1/1838 d7/1884 His siblings were Lewis, Albert, Henry, Amos, and Rachel Squire Bennett was married again to a Sarah Neptune they had twin boys named Edgar and Ernest. Squire's father was a Joshua Bennett, mother Isabella Broom This is as far back as I go on Squire and Caroline. I would like any information on these two. The family all resided in Ohio and West Va. looking for info on a william bennett who married a alice wynn carpenter ...carpenter was her maiden name..wynn was her first husbands last name...not sure what yr they married...but i know that they had 4 children of there own and she had 3 when she married mr bennett...they lived in the knox co or whitley co area of kentucky...if you think you have any info that may lead to this person please let me know...she is my great grandmother...and i'm trying to find info on her and my grandfather john wynn..who is her oldest son...if you have access to any census for those countys please let me know...i would love a look up if it's no trouble to anyone...thanks again in advance...Denise

Eliza's brother, John William, was my grandmother's father. He married Mary Jones and they had Maggie Bell, Annie Viola,(my grandmother), Ida Alene and John Samuel, who died as an infant. Eliza and John William's parents were James Caldwell Bennett and Julia Ann Eaves. I have traced her back to 1611 to Jon Eaves who came over from England. However, I have no info on James Caldwell. I know he married Julia Ann, April 15,1853 in Opelousas, La. He came frome South Carolina and his father was from Virginia. Let me know what you have on them. I will share all that I have with you.
