George Woodward Crouch, his wife was an Arnett from a lineage out of Anson Co., NC, and Bennetts related to some Floyds, I think, on my father's grandmother's side. George Woodward Crouch 1853-1885 m. 1876 Mary Catherine Arnett b.1854 Chambers Co, Ala d. 1936 They had a son Thomas Lemuel Crouch. (further data is unknown) I have posted the W. F. Bennett I researched, all here in the Bennett Forum. I also have a Rachel Bennett married to Timothy Arnett in east Georgia, and a Bennett was Captain of a district in Wilkes Co, or Lincoln Co, Ga...before the turn of the century... but I cannot place him as being related in any way...just that my father's ancestors came from there. Migrated to Lee Co, Ala...While there were also Arnett over in east Georgia, not related to my mother's Arnetts...they were related to my father;s lineage... and so there were likely two seperate Bennett lines - ancestors of my father's family, and ancestors of my mother's family... But this George W. Crouch in my paf4 file is over in Chambers/Randolph Co., Ala. with my mother's Arnett clan that were from Anson Co, NC. What'cha think ?

He had a son named Joel(Joseph) who married an Eliza Prewit. They had sons named John Booker and James Henry Bennett. James moved to Des Moines Iowa and his daughter Luella married into the Cassell family in 1904. John Booker Bennett stayed in Pittsylvania Co. and his children were born in Sandy Level.
