Hello, fellow listers! I'm just starting my research into my Bennett line and I'm in dire need of help!! My ggg grandparents were SARAH BENNETT and JACOB PHILLIPS. They married in Randolph Co.,VA/WV on 11/13/1817. SARAH was Jacob's first wife and she must have died by 1827 because he married Catherine Johnson that year. SARAH and JACOB PHILLIPS had three known children: James, Asa and Bennett. SARAH'S father is listed as JACOB BENNETT on her marriage registration but that's the extent of the information I have on her or her family. I am fairly sure the BENNETTS I'm looking for are from the Randolph Co.,VA/WV area, maybe into Barbour Co., as well. It appears this family is quite extensive so if anyone has any information on them I'd be eternally grateful! Does anyone know where SARAH BENNETT PHILLIPS is buried or when/where she died?? Any help with SARAH and/or JACOB, her father, will be a blessing!! :) Thanks in advance! Claudia Pell-Salvatore in Northern Kentucky
I am trying to find information on my 3g, Mary Isabella Bennett. She was supposedly born in Howard Co., MO; but it may have been TN, in 1816. Her first hubby was my 3g, William C. Isabella was a famous midwife in the area around Garrison. Her second husband was Isaac Peacock. Isaac and Isabella may have died in Oklahoma. In my line I have Bennetts from Maidstone, Ontario, and Clark from Ontario, but I do not have much on the Clark end. I have Donald William Clark b. 1923 with two sisters Hazel and Noni, no parent info. But 1923 is the earliest I have on Clark. I have a lot of info on Joseph Bennett, Jr. who emigrated for England to Ontario, Canada in 1833, married Elizabeth Collins in England. However, I do not have a Dena Bennett. Do you have more info on either family?
