I have connected them as being our next generation of grandparents back. I have found them in the 1870 Census in Jasper, Dallas Co, Missouri. At that time, they had one daughter a few months old named Francis. Our gg-Grandmother, Lenora, was also a daughter to them, born abt 1877. However, I did not find them in Dallas Co, in the 1880 Census. I do know that Lenora and her mother, Cordelia were in Sebastian Co, Ark in 1900. But have no idea where they were in between 1870-1900, or of any other children John and Cordelia may of had. John was born in England abt 1842, and Cordelia was born in Missouri. I'd love to hear from anyone with any connections or information to this family. Thanks Mary

    3. Susann, why do you think your Bennett came from South Carolina? I am also researching Bennetts. My husband's mother was a Bennett. There are a lot of Bennetts in the York Co., SC area. But in my research, I have also found Bennetts on my side. They were from Eastern North Carolina. There are a number of Williams, but I have been unable to come up with date of birth and haven't tried hard because I have a long way to go to get to them. I sorry I don't have anything, but maybe this will help you look in another direction. Either York Co., SC or upper, eastern NC counties. My line had came down from the Isle of Wright, VA in the early 1800 or late 1700.
