Alice was the daughter of James Bennett & Ellen Boagey, and married to Alfred Newsome before 1892 in Leeds, England. She later immigrated to America after Alfred was killed. Alice Elizabeth's siblings are: Lena (m. Harry Beever/Beaver) Thomas Elizabeth (m. Samuel Beck) Ada Grace (m. George Snarey) Nelly (m. James Winter) Fanny Jane (m. Albert Worth) I know that Lena & Thomas immigrated to Canada.

My great grandfather Clarence b.1899 his children are Mertie, Robert Sr., Clarence Jr., LeRoy, George & Myrtle. My brickwall is a Harvey Bennett, b. 1822 in NY, m. Sophia Edwards (b. 1822 in NY) 1839 in NY. He died in Washington DC in Union Army. I pick up their trail after they moved to Henderson, IL, but I can find no records prior to their marriage. Is there a Harvey anywhere in your Bennett line? Rachel Ann BENNETT, daughter of John and Sally Ann Bennett, was born 22 October 1834 in Butler Township, Richland County, Ohio. She married (1) Bishop Knapp Vanscoy. They had three children: Judson L. Clara, m. Dietrich WILLIS Ida, m. James LINDSAY They lived in Greenwich Township, Huron County, Ohio. He died in 1891. She married (2) George W. FORD 30 August 1893 in Huron County. She died 27 May 1910 and buried in the Nineveh Cemetery, Greenwich Township, Huron County, Ohio. Bishop Knapp Van Scoy's sister Hannah Ada Floretta Jane Vanscoy was born 10 April 1839. She married 15 September 1855 John BENNETT. Are Rachel and John Bennett related?
