His wifes name looks like Margaret, children Ralph S, William H, Maggie B, Cora S, Ruthie C, Estell, Elizabeth. John T married Mary Louise Looker, they moved to High Point, NC. Mary Ella I believed stayed in Charlotte and married a RIGLER. Jenkins possibly married a Mary C. I can not find Lewis, James or Luther. Any information on this Bennett family, spouses and children would be deeply appreciated

He was born and lived his entire life in Shelby County, Indiana, and one bunch I am going through mainly deals with Shelby County. While I am unsure of the fate of these clippings and such (would like to give to a historical or genealogical group), I thought the least I could do was post the articles that I can positively date, in case they were of any genealogical interest to anyone. SHELBYVILLE, INDIANA NEWS Monday, September 7, 1959 SERVING AT NORFOLK Ordnanceman (sic) Second Class Cassius George Bennett, son of Mr. and Mrs. Cassius M. Bennett of 610 S. Pike St., is serving with the Anti-Submarine Squadron 27 at Norfolk, Va., according to a release recieved from the Navy. Bennett joined the Navy in 1955 and received recruit training at the Great Lakes Training Center. He holds the Navy Good Conduct Medal, awarded for outstanding leadership and character.

Had Rufus abt 1790, Jared 1793, Elizabeth 1795, Stephen Jr 1802, Samantha 1799, and Lebeus 1803. I have a considerable amount of info regarding them and Mary Gates' line, but who were his parents? He seems to be connected to the William Bennett line. The colony in Pike Co , where he ended up certainly was. Mary, William's daughter is listed as marrying Amos/Enos Woodward. Enos had moved to PA from Ct in 1774. Please let me know in anyone can help.
